ASB Aquatic Centre
This state-of-the-art aquatic centre opened in Richmond in September 2004. The Centre is open daily throughout the year. For more information click here

Tasman District Council recognises outstanding achievements in the areas of community service and environmental innovation. Nominations are made by members of the public and awards are presented by the Mayor.
Beach reserves and seaside recreation
Council maintains beachside reserves and seaside recreation areas throughout the district. These are available to the public for picnics and other recreational purposes. They are listed here.

Boating
Rules for boat operators in the Tasman District are governed by the Navigation Safety By-Law (2002). The Navigation Safety By-Law covers all of the waters in the region, including lakes and rivers. Council has a Harbourmaster who is responsible for navigation safety within the Tasman District and is available to give advice on boating related issues.
