Local Governance Statement The purpose of the Governance Statement is to outline information on the responsibilities, structure and governance processes of the Council as required by section 40 of the Local Government Act 2002.
The Governance Statement must be updated within six months of each triennial general election of members of the local authority and whenever the local authority considers it appropriate.
