Regional Land Transport Programme
Tasman District has developed a Draft Regional Land Transport Programme (RLTP), which was circulated for public consultation.
The Regional Land Transport Programme allows Council and the New Zealand Transport Agency to recommend funding for land transport activities from the National Land Transport Fund. It prioritises all the planned land transport activities across the district, identifies work to be completed over the next three years and what that work will cost.
What does it cover?
The Regional Land Transport Programme covers more than just how much is going to be spent on roads. It identifies how much money will be allocated to bus services and bus stops, programmes to encourage walking and cycling like footpaths, cycle lanes and walking school buses, and programmes to make the region’s roads safer for all users, including engineering and safety campaigns.
