Liquor Licensing in the Community
 
The way liquor licensing is done is dictated by the Sale of Liquor Act 1989. This Act came into force in April 1990 and it has enabled an increasing number of liquor outlets to open, often for longer hours.
It has had an affect on the community because liquor has been increasingly easy to obtain. Also licensed premises are able to apply for longer hours, possibly even up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. On top of that a variety of business can now apply to be licensed, including theatres, sports centres, etc. More...
