Pohara Water Supply
 
The Tasman District Council are aware that the area from Takaka to Tata Beach is water short. The existing scheme in Pohara Valley is stretched to its limits but requests for new connections continue. There is a lot of residential development occurring on the coastal strip and contaminants have been recorded in some of the shallow well supplies on Abel Tasman Drive. Council considers that the area would benefit from a single reticulated water scheme and would like to hear your views on such a scheme. More...

Richmond Town Centre Development
 
Detailed designs will now be commissioned for the major street scaping project for Richmond’s Town Centre. The project, which has been planned over the past few years, could be ready for construction as soon as the 2006/2007 financial year, subject to approval.
